Terms of Agreement (Training, Membership, and Digital Content)

In proceeding to purchase the Alterra-XCOMTB membership, irrespective of checking the confirmation box, you are confirming you will abide by the following terms and conditions. If there is any disagreement with the terms and conditions outlined herin, you cannot purchase membership or affiliation to the race team and training squad. Access to training plans and the associated materials will only be provided during the prescribed membership period and will cease upon cancellation or termination of the membership.

Acceptance of these Terms
By purchasing, accessing, or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the Services.
Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to purchase and use the Services.
The Services are designed for informational and training purposes for endurance athletes and cyclists.
Information disclaimer
The Services provide general information and discussions about training, performance, and technical aspects of cycling and mountain biking. They are not medical advice and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare. If you have any medical concerns, you must seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Do not delay seeking medical help because of something you have read or viewed within the Services.
Before taking part in strenuous activity or any nutritional interventions, it is your responsibility to seek medical advice whenever you are unsure. Alterra-XCO MTB or its subsidiaries (Alterra Performance, Allanson Media) is not liable for any illness, injury or medical reaction caused by any information outlined as part of the membership Services.
You understand that the training plans and content have been developed based on scientific and coaching principles and personal experiences as athletes and sports practitioners. Individual results and outcomes are based on individual physiological, biological and psychological differences (but not limited to) and therefor Alterra-XCO MTB cannot guarantee results or outcomes.
You agree that you participate voluntarily and assume responsibility for monitoring your health and readiness.
It is your responsibility to ensure safety of equipment, training and racing. Training for endurance sports carries inherent risks. It is your responsibility for monitoring your health and readiness for participation. You understand that cycling, mountain biking and racing involve additional hazards, including (but not limited to):
- Falls, crashes, loss of traction, and impact with the ground
- Collisions with other riders, spectators, trees/rocks, trail features, vehicles (where applicable)
- Technical terrain hazards (drops, roots, rocks, ruts, berms, jumps, steep gradients)
- Equipment failure (brake failure, tyre blowouts, chain/bars/fork/suspension issues)
- Weather and trail conditions (mud, ice, wind, fog, poor visibility)
- Remote riding risks (delayed access to medical care, poor phone signal)
These risks may lead to serious injury, permanent disability, or death. You accept and assume these risks.
What we provide
The Services may include (depending on your membership tier):
- Training plans and workouts (e.g., structured intervals, endurance sessions)
- Educational content (guides, videos, webinars, documents)
- Coaching-style guidance and suggested progressions
- Access to plan libraries and/or delivery via third-party platforms (see Section 13)
Access is not indefinite and may end if you cancel or your membership ends.
Acceptable use (library and content protection)
You agree that you will not:
- Share, copy, resell, distribute, publish, or sublicense the workouts/plans/materials
- Allow anyone else to access the Services using your login
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or reproduce the library or its structure
- Use the content to create a competing product/service
Intellectual property
All training plans, workouts, documents, videos, branding, and educational materials remain our intellectual property (or that of our licensors). You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use the content for your own training while your access remains active.
Communications
By agreeing the membership terms you give permission for Alterra-XCO MTB to send communication emails via the address provided. If you wish to unsubscribe to email communication from Alterra-XCO MTB or its subsidiaries (Alterra Performance, XCO-MTB) you can do so at any time by unsubscribing via the unsubscribe link provided in our emails.
Assumption of risk and release of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you
1)Assume all risks arising from your participation in training and cycling/MTB activities associated with the Services
2)Agree that Alterra-XCO MTB or its subsidiaries (Alterra Performance, Allanson Media) are not responsible for injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from your training, riding, racing, or use of the Services, including where training is performed outdoors, indoors, on roads, or on trails
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot be excluded by law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, if applicable under your local law).
Membership, billing, and cancellations
Membership fees, billing frequency, and included benefits are described at checkout.
If you cancel, access to the membership/library and associated materials may end at the end of the paid period (or immediately, depending on the product setup).
We may update membership benefits, platforms, or content to keep the Services current.
Refunds
Refund rules (if any) are as stated at checkout and/or in your welcome email. Where digital content is supplied immediately, your local consumer law may affect cancellation/refund rights.

Third-party platforms and accounts
Some Services may be delivered through third-party platforms (e.g., TrainingPeaks, Intervals.icu, Zwift, etc.). You are responsible for:
- Creating and maintaining any required third-party accounts
- Accepting and complying with those third-party terms
- Any fees charged by those third parties
We are not responsible for outages, errors, account issues, or changes made by third-party providers.
Privacy
We will handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy: Privacy Policy
You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and secure.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice via email or within the platform. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom
Any disputes will be handled in the courts of the United Kingdom unless mandatory consumer protections apply where you live.
